The Memphis Christian Writers Conference is a Christ-centered event purposefully designed for believers in Jesus Christ. While no writers are excluded, all content, teaching, and worship will reflect biblical Christian values. We ask that all attendees come with a heart that honors this purpose and atmosphere.

Do I have to be an experienced writer or speaker to attend?

Not at all! This conference is for aspiring writers and speakers of all levels — whether you're just getting started, have a half-finished manuscript tucked away, or have already published a book or spoken at events. If you have a message from God stirring in your heart, this is the place for you.

What kind of books does this conference focus on?
We specialize in uplifting, Christ-centered nonfiction — including devotionals, memoirs, legacy books, prayer journals, workbooks, Christian living/lifestyle books, and poetry. While we do not focus on fiction, writers of all types are welcome if they are seeking to write for the glory of God.

Is this only for writers, or can speakers benefit too?
Great question! This conference is for both aspiring Christian writers and Christian speakers. Many of our attendees feel called to do both — to write the message God has given them and to share it verbally. We offer sessions, strategies, and encouragement for both paths.

Will there be worship or ministry opportunities?
Yes! This conference is not just about craft — it's also about calling. Throughout the day, we include worship, prayer, and Christ-centered teaching to stir your spirit and equip you for what God is calling you to do.

What if I just want to come and listen, not write or speak (yet)?
You're more than welcome to attend for inspiration, spiritual growth, and clarity. Many people come unsure of what to do next — and leave with boldness, direction, and a fresh sense of purpose.

Do I need to be a published author or professional speaker?
Nope! Whether you’ve published books or never written a word, this event will meet you where you are and help you take your next step.

Is there a code of conduct?
Yes. We ask that all attendees participate in a spirit of respect and unity. This is a safe space for Christian learning, encouragement, and growth. Any behavior that disrupts the faith-based focus of the event may result in dismissal without refund.

What about parking?
Parking is free. There is ample parking in front of the church with additional parking in the rear. The entrance is handicap compliant. If help is needed, our friendly personnel will be more than happy to assist you.

Will there be food?
Yes. We will provide a continental breakfast at 8:30 a.m. consisting of pastries, granola bars, granola & dried fruit mixes, fresh fruit, and juices. Snacks will be provided during the morning break as well as included in the attendees' bags. A full lunch will be served around noon.

Please note:
While we are unable to accommodate individual dietary needs at this event, we truly want everyone to feel comfortable and cared for. If you have specific food preferences or dietary restrictions, please feel free to bring along any items you may need to enjoy the day fully.

Climate?
We want you focused on receiving what God has for you and not distracted by the temperature. If you tend to be cold-natured, bring a sweater. If you're in that special season of life, or simply hot-natured, bring a fan.
